Ricco Design Co. was founded in 2023 after nearly three years working nonstop in real estate. During that time, I walked through hundreds of freshly renovated homes — and started noticing the same pattern.
The same predictable finishes. The same safe, cookie-cutter design choices.
Homes asking top dollar… yet sitting on the market far longer than expected.
It became clear that many investors weren’t lacking opportunity — they were lacking strategic design decisions that actually helped their properties stand out.
I knew there was an opportunity to help investors approach renovation differently — with design decisions that not only looked better, but also supported stronger resale value and faster sales.
After years immersed in real estate
Like many investors, I didn’t start with a big team or polished systems.
I started in the trenches.
My first projects were midterm rentals, where I quite literally built the business from the ground up. I designed and installed furniture, stocked kitchens, sourced linens, assembled pieces, handled the details, and took care of all the work behind the scenes that most people overlook.
But those early projects taught me something invaluable: great design isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about execution, efficiency, and understanding what actually works in real properties.
